Privacy

Pedal Elsewhere is hosted using OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare-backed delivery infrastructure. These services may process basic technical information, such as IP address, browser type, request time and security events, to deliver and protect the website.

Pedal Elsewhere does not provide user accounts or a first-party contact form, and does not build behavioural advertising profiles. Readers may optionally subscribe to planning emails through a Kit signup form.

The optional newsletter form is provided by Kit. If you subscribe, Kit processes the email address you enter, confirmation status and related delivery information so Pedal Elsewhere can send the trip-planner link and occasional planning emails.

Subscriptions use email confirmation. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in an email. The trip planner and on-site checklists remain available without subscribing. Kit processes information under its own privacy terms and may use necessary technology to operate the form and email service.

Pedal Elsewhere uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for limited, aggregate measurement of website traffic and page performance.

Google Analytics 4 is optional. If you choose to allow Google Analytics through Privacy choices, it uses cookies to measure visits, page views and selected planning or commercial-link actions. Google processes page and interaction information under its own terms. Google advertising signals and advertising personalization are disabled. Google Analytics does not load before this choice, and newsletter email addresses are not sent to it.

You can decline analytics and use the site normally. Change your choice through Privacy choices in the footer. Withdrawing analytics consent reloads the site without the Google tag. Learn how Google processes information at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage, does not fingerprint individuals for analytics, and does not collect or use visitors’ personal data. Pedal Elsewhere uses the resulting aggregate page-view, referral and performance information—not for advertising, cross-site tracking or individual visitor profiles.

Pedal Elsewhere also keeps first-party daily totals for selected actions such as affiliate-link clicks and checklist downloads. These totals contain the action, page, destination, partner/category and placement; they do not store a visitor identifier, email address, IP address, user agent or referrer, and they are not used to build visitor profiles.

Travelpayouts Drive is an optional affiliate-link tool. If a visitor chooses “Allow affiliate tools,” it may inspect page and link information, recognise eligible travel links, attribute referrals, and use browser storage or cookies. Information is processed by Travelpayouts and participating travel services under their own privacy notices.

Drive does not load before consent. Choosing “Continue without” leaves it disabled. The choice is stored in the browser and can be changed at any time through “Privacy choices” in the site footer. Withdrawing consent reloads the page without Drive.

If you email hello@pedalelsewhere.com, Pedal Elsewhere receives the information you choose to provide, together with your email address and any name attached to your message. This information is used to respond to the enquiry, manage editorial corrections or assess a relevant commercial proposal.

Email delivery and forwarding are handled by the services used by the sender and Pedal Elsewhere. Please do not send sensitive personal information through ordinary email.

Pedal Elsewhere does not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through this website. Newsletter signup is optional and limited to the information needed to confirm and deliver planning emails. Affiliate tools are optional and are not used to build Pedal Elsewhere visitor profiles. This notice will be reviewed before any first-party contact form or additional data-collection service is introduced, and before any analytics change that would use cookies or identifiable visitor profiles.
