For first-time Bike Park travellers, rent first unless the personal MTB is genuinely suitable and familiarity outweighs travel friction.

Choose bike category before provider:

Downhill → park-first gravity riding.

Enduro/all-mountain → broader riding where permitted/appropriate.

Trail/XC → do not assume it is suitable for Bike Park use.

Confirm size, suspension setup, tyres, brakes, pedals, protection rental, damage terms and replacement support.

Skills/coaching is a separate purchase. For a first park visit, coaching may improve the trip more than upgrading the bike tier.
