How to rent a road, gravel or mountain bike away from home

Reserve the specification the trip needs—not a vague bike category that leaves gearing, tyres or suspension uncertain.

Never reserve “premium road bike,” “gravel bike” or “full suspension MTB” without the specification that matters to the trip.

Universal: exact size/geometry; saddle/cockpit adjustment; pedals; brake orientation; support/replacement; damage terms; pickup/return timing.

Road: lowest gear, crank length if material, tyre width, power-meter availability if needed.

Gravel: tyre width/casing/tubeless, gearing, surface suitability.

MTB: trail/enduro/downhill category, suspension travel/setup, wheel size, tyres, brakes, protection compatibility and route/park rules.

Get the specification in writing before paying when the bike is a trip-critical dependency.
